It tests every part of ones practice. It is the most indulgent and generous thing you can do. There is no piece of furniture that stands to gain more by industrialisation. And there is no object that loses more through industrialisation than the chair. A chair made by hand is a vain glorious triumph of the human condition. The ‘Reading Chair’ was designed for long sitting and reading. To support the body. With high arm rest to allow one to push up out of it. It works.
